Fine Molds 1/35 JGSDF Type 61 MBT (Upgraded)

The Type 61 tank of the Ground Self-Defense Force was the first domestically produced tank developed 10 years after the end of World War II, and was officially adopted in April 1961. By the end of production in 1973, 560 tanks had been manufactured and operated as the main battle tank of the Ground Self-Defense Force together with the Type 74 tank that was developed later. Minor improvements had been made around the turret since the 1980s, and equipment such as a smoke bomb launcher called "Hatsuhatsu" has also been installed. Platoon leaders vehicles, are also equipped with infrared / white light floodlights.
